Color Personality Technology

When applied and used properly... Personality Color Technology
will dramatically improve the quality and effectiveness of every single
human relationship You experience from this point forward....from now on.

This Technology really works!

There have been many studies on Personality Traits, but people understand
colors and can remember Color Personalities as easily as they remember red,
green, yellow and blue. And you can easily learn to use Personality Color
Technology to increase the size of Your Network Marketing Business.

The Basics Of Personality Color Technology

To start with....the good thing about Personality Colors is that it makes You
Listen to the other person. The first thing You have to do is Drop Your Agenda....
You Must Stop Trying To Get this person Into Your Deal.....You have to
tune in and start really listening to what You are hearing them say.

Why mention personality types? Because if you know how to relate to each person
that you talk to, you will be more successful. You will know what they like and dislike,
thus helping them to like you more!

First... let's give credit where credit is due. Scott OBrien has been following
the teachings of people like Mr. Michael Dlouhy and Mr. Richard Dennis and
Personal Color Technology is discussed at great length, but this article originally
was created by Clyde Batten and condensed by Scott to highlight some of the
key points about Color Personalities.

YELOW PERSONALITIES

Yellows are Open and Indirect with their feelings. They make up about 35%
of the population. Men and women who are Yellow Personality Types are the
Supportive Nuturers of the World. They are often stay-at-home moms and
dads (SAHM's and SAHD's), doctors, nurses, schoolteachers.....UN workers and
"Daytime-Full-time" Care-givers. They give from the heart.....they give and give
and give. Just like the Energizer Bunny.....they never run-out of giving. For this
reason they often don't have time for themselves, because they give to everybody
else. Yellows build some of the largest organizations in Network Marketing ...

WHEN they believe they can do it.

When you feel you are talking to a Yellow Personality...
From the sound of that first
"Hello..... OBrien residence"....immediately slow down the pace and I go into Yellow
Modality
. Like slipping on a comfortable pair of furry slippers and ease into a conversation
about their favorite topic - FAMILY just to put them at ease.
Slow the pace of the
conversation. Put a lid on Your excitement. Speak more softly than You normally do,
especially if You know You are a Blue. Yellows interpret excitement as hype, and that
You're trying to sell them something. Don't tell Yellows about the money they can
make....it will only turn them off. Instead, visit with them like You would a neighbor
over the "backyard fence." Skip the business. Talk about their family.....their kids or
grandkids....talk about their family vacation.

How to spot a yellow personality...

Yellows will usually being wearing a big warm smile. Their voice modulation will
be soft and pleasant. They love to dress casually and are very comfortable with
themselves and the way they look. If the Yellow is a little overweight....it is not
a big deal. They will usually have pictures of their family in their office. They walk
at a relaxed slower pace....everything they do is at a relaxed and slower pace.

Yellows think in terms of words like "feel"...."teamwork and togetherness"......
"they will and can help You with whatever You are trying to do."

Yellow Strengths:

1. Yellows are awesome people....everybody loves a Yellow. They are the best
listeners and are easy to get along with and they are team players.

2. Yellows are dependable and patient. They are the world's best at nurturing
and caring for others......this is probably the best quality to have if You want an
awesome builder on Your team.

Weaknesses:

1. The Yellow Personality is overly sensitive. They tend to internalize everything
and when things don't quite go right, the Yellow Personality will naturally assume
it is their own fault and usually withdraw themselves and become unavailable.

2. They will buy other people's stories and excuses.

3. Yellows don't take rejection well and tend to take No personally.

Don’t Tell Yellows About The Money They Can Make....It Will Turn Them Off.....
Instead, visit with them. Skip the business. Talk about their family, their kids,
their vacation. Yellows have a difficult time working in Unilevels and stairstep
breakaway-type compensation plans. They need to be in a plan where you can
put people under people and people under people. They’re best in any kind of
“infinity” plan that pays them to work deep rather than wide. They like to help
others and will have big team.

KEYWORDS FOR YELLOWS - Teamwork, together, relationships and family.
The dislikes of the Yellow are pushy people, bullies and conflict

BLUE PERSONALITIES

Blues personalities are Open like the Yellows but are very Direct with their
feelings. In fact Blues are the most Direct people on Earth. You will always
know exactly where You stand with a Blue person. If they love you... You they
will tell You! The most important thing is expressing their feelings as they
occur regardless of the consequences.

They make up about 15% of the population. BLUE’s “just wanna have fun”
and are also known as the Fun-loving Promoters often finding themselves in
positions and Life situations where their "Million Dollar Personalities" can
come shining thru.
Blues are more "right-brain" functioning than any other
Color which makes them, highly Creative and Intuitive. Because they process
data so quickly Blues tend to create a whirlwind of activity around themselves.

They are also very "family-oriented" and place a very high premium on friendships
and loyalty. The worse thing You can do is betray a Blue's trust in You. Because
they are so open and direct, they are always exposing their vulnerable side to
their friends within their "circle of trust." Blues are thrill seekers and love to
drive fast. Their cars are anything that is "nifty" with lots of "pick-up" and a
sleek look to it. Most Blues will need to go to Driver's School at least once to
get their drivers license back. Life is a Party....Mash down on the Gas and Let's
Get This Party Started is their motto.

Blues are Impulse buyers and shoppers who almost always suffer from buyer's
remorse a day later. Their minds always operate at least five times faster than
everybody else's. Each Blue is living at the center of their own little vortex of
chaos and confusion. Blues are highly exciteable and usually talk very fast and
are comfortable caring on more than one conversation at a time.

Blues cannot live without multi-tasking and consider it time wasted if they are
not doing at least 4 things at once most of the time.
They're almost always in a
sales business of some kind. With a "Million Dollar Personality" and their winning
dispositions most Blues are on full tilt and usually always at least selling themselves
and what they are into at the time. They jump from program to program to program,
looking for fun. Blues are the planet’s most creative people.

A Blue sees the big picture instantly. They don't need or want all the details. Blues
can eat an elephant, but not at one meal.

How to Spot a Blue Personality...

Blues are very animated when they express themselves. They use lots of "body
english" with lots of facial expressions. They are almost always flashing colorful
dressers. The Hawaiin shirt was made for the Blue on vacation. Blues are stylish
dressers and considered flambouyant by others of more modest taste.

If You find yourself in a Blue's office....You will see lots of pictures of the family
and the walls will be covered with awards denoting their acheivements.
When You
shake hands with a Blue You will experience a firm and positive grip that lets You
know there is someone behind that handshake that You can count on. If You look
around their desk You will probably see lots of Post-its and sticky notes. This will
be the Blue's way of keeping "important things" in the front of their mind... trouble
is... so many things are important hence sticky notes will be everywhere.

There will be a kind of Order to the Chaos that only the Blue will understand. When
You eat out with a Blue You usually have to wait on them because they are usually
so busy talking they forget to order. Look for the Blue to routinely order the most
expensive thing on the menu. They will consume their food quickly while carrying on
a conversation during the entire meal.

Blues will very seldom ever read every word of something You write them. Blues
are multi-taskers and skimmers when they read. Knowing this about themselves,
they naturally assume the rest of the world is like they are, so when a Blue writes
You an email it will be full of bolded words and highlighted words (not unlike this
correspondence).
Now the bolded words are the important stuff that the Blue is
afraid You will miss if You skim all the time like they do. There always be a PS,
a PPS and sometimes even a PPPS because there is something they remembered
at the last minute that is important but they don't have time to redo the entire
email.
Blues simply don't understand that most people (Yellows and Greens) will
carefully read everything anyway and don't really need all of the super punctuation
to get their meaning.

Strengths:

1. Blues are awesome people....they are after all the "Fun-loving Promoters" if it
can be sold a Blue will sell it even if they have to dance in the middle of the room
with a lampshade on their head to show You what a great idea it is. And they, as
You can probably tell from this writing are very creative and innovative.

2. Blues are almost always enthusiastic and bubbly with their personality. They are
the "life of the party" and are always good for morale in any organization.

3. Blues are motivators and are extremely convincing because of their zeal and
conviction to what they believe in. Blues are natural team players who enjoy sharing
their wealth and success as well as the limelight with their team mates. Blues love
to say hey ....We Did It....We Won!

Weaknesses:

1. The Blue Personality is unorganized and scattered in their thinking and approach.
They are very poor on follow-up and often have to learn that there is something more
than just making a good first impression....it is called the "rest of it". Show a Blue
how to use things like autoresponders to follow-up with.

2. Blues live in the "here and now" in the midst of a sea of chaos and confusion
which they have created because they don't know how to manage their time well
and, because they have been doing it that way and just responding to whatever
"comes up" for so long ..... for them that's just the way it is. Teach Your Blue
friend how to use a Day Planner so they can actually keep their appointments and
they will gradually begin to see that life can be different. Despite all the fun Blues
have....life quite often is very stressful for them because of their "self-perpetuating"
chaotic behavior.

3. Blues lack focus and are easily distracted because they feel the need to respond
to every new piece of data or every good idea they have. As brilliant as they often
appear to be, they have trouble staying on task and ever actually getting any one
thing actually finished and complete. More often than not their good ideas and great
ambitions end up being littered all over the living room floor like children's toys.

Teach a Blue to "quiet their minds" and to focus on just one thing, and You will take
a great salesman to that SuperStar Level.

Show the Blue Your team and the system You are using to build it with. Let them
know right away about the Money and all the Travel Bonuses they will receive for
excelling in the business. Show them pictures of Your last convention or snapshots
from the deck of the Caribbean Cruise You won for being Salesperson of the month.
Find a way to get the Blue to focus and "keep their eye on the prize."

KEYWORDS FOR BLUES - fun, awesome, and excitement. The Blue's dislike not
having fun, facts and figures, too much detail, being alone and did I mention, not
having fun!

GREEN PERSONALITIES

The Greens are Indirect like the Yellows but are Self-Contained with their feelings.
They make up about 35% of the population and are also known as the Cautious
Analyzers. The Green is the "intellect" as they are the most "left-brained" of all the
Colors. This "left-brained" hemisphere preference gives most true Greens a tendency
to be very logical and analytical. They are paragons of intellect and reason and much
prefer to trust these faculties over something as whimsical and changing as human
emotion.

Most Greens lead lives built around logic and facts experiencing difficulty expressing
emotions or sharing their feelings with others. They're the skeptical, analytical people.
Because the Green Personality experiences a felt need to be "accurate and right" about
things they do.....they sometimes have a tendency to over analyze before decision making,
they often suffer from "analysis paralysis" which often has them appear to be procrastinators.

Greens Are Very Thorough

Once however, they make up their minds they never....ever, ever change as they stick to
their decisions. So the nice thing about getting a green person on your team is... they
will never quit.

How to Spot a Green Personality...
Greens will usually wear formal conservative clothes.
Though not a typical stereo-type of every Green; one could expect the Green to be the
gentleman in the horn-rimmed glasses who is balding or sports a crew cut. If he is
technical.....look in the shirt pocket for one of those plastic pouches that he can neatly
carry all of his pens and pencils in without soiling his shirt.

Green women are equally conservative and formal in their dress, will always style their
hair very conservatively. Everything about her will suggest a controlled and "buttoned
down" kind of approach to life. The term "letting your hair down" might apply as good
advice to Green women who certainly could benefit from such behavior from time to time.
Prim and proper is another good word picture for the Green profile.

They generally walk very stiff and erect. They are almost always totally expressionless
because Greens never give away even a hint of what is going on inside. Having or wearing
a "poker face" is a lot like being a Green. Greens are uncomfortable with expressing their
feelings so they almost never show them.
Inside a Green's office You can generally expect
to find things that let You know they are a "company man/woman".....there will be pictures
of the home office and maybe a few pictures of them with the boss in a very formal pose
or setting. They will almost always have a globe on a stand or table in the office and quite
often an area map on the wall. The office will always be very neat and everything will have
a place and nothing will ever be out of place.

Greens routinely use very effective systems to manage their time and their appointments.
Everything is scheduled and orderly because the daily routine is very important.
Their
handshake is slow and soft....not unlike holding a dead fish. Here again this is because
Greens do not typically exhibit any expression of emotion. There is just as much going
on inside a Green as there is anybody else but they just have learned very early in life
to surpress the expression of emotion.

When You eat out with a Green You invariably find them ordering the special of the day.
They eat in a structured way and stack their dishes when they have finished and with the
knife and fork crossed as a sign to the waiter to remove them as soon as possible.

Strengths:

1. Greens are awesome people....they are the most organized of all the Colors. They
are great planners, dependable and task-persistent. After all they are the "Cautious
Analyzers"
and their favorite activity is creative problem solving. The Green will fully
realize the potential of the Blue's creative ideas by getting them to work.

2. Greens are absolutely the best on follow-thru and are very accurate and precise in
their methods because they have collected all the facts before they make their move.

3. Greens are very commited and never ever give up once they start. They understand
the importance of building a system and are the best at perfecting a systematic approach
to doing things. They will always do it by the book....they will always do it by the
numbers so they are more consistent in their results than any other color.

Weaknesses:

1. The Green Personality will over analize everything.

2. Greens are difficult to please and can be very "stand-offish" in their demeanour.

3. Greens tend toward the dark side of things and often "see the glass half-empty"
as they are somewhat pessimistic about people. They tend to see why things won't
work out.

4. Greens tend to perpetuate negative situations by the way they see things and by
the way they speak their reality into existence with disempowering speech like....
"if this works out", "maybe this will look better in a couple of days", "we will try to get
this to work out", "we'll see how things look and then get back to You".
You can be a
very helpful resource to most Greens by just pointing out to them how they tend to
set themselves up for dissappointment by the way they "language their reality into
existence" and You can point that out with the phrases mentioned above.

Encourage the Green to start to consider phrases like those and words like...try, maybe,
possibly, we'll see, we hope etc. This will help them to become aware of their speaking.
This is the very best coaching and mentoring You can offer a Green.

When trying to approach a Green Personality... you will need to show them a lot a facts
and you will most likely never sign them up the first day. Just keep delivering the more
information and when they finally see it... they will join and stay forever.

Greens don't generally put their trust in people. Greens probably more often than not
see people as the reason why things get "screwed up" and are generally looking for
ways to avoid them or take them out of the Success Equation as much as possible,
thereby mimimizing the element of risk.

KEYWORDS FOR GREENS - Why, graphs, charts, research, exactly. Dislikes of the
Green are pushy people, no facts, and being late.

RED PERSONALITIES

The Reds are Direct like the Blues but are Self-Contained with their feelings like
the Greens. They make up about 15% of the population and are also known as the
Dominating Controllers
. The Red is also "left-brained" like the Greens. This
"left-brained" hemisphere preference gives Reds a very logical and analytical
approach to everything. Feelings always come second (if at all) to the logical
choice that needs to be made. Reds view people who cater to their emotions
as soft and weak.

Reds know that if you get married, you're supposed to have kids. If you have
kids, you're supposed to go on vacation. End of story. Don't want to talk about
it. But they always want the bottom line and they want it now. They will ask
pointed questions and you better have a brief to the point answer. This in the
case of the Reds, is what we mean by being very Direct.

Most Reds experience an all but overwhelming need to be in control of everything.
In any group they will be the "big dog" in the pack. If they are not the "big dog",
then their one desire is to learn how to become the "big dog" in the pack. The Red
will build and fashion their world around themselves in such a way that everyone
in that world will be there to serve a function of some kind according to the way
the Red sees things. You have to "fit in to get in"...."to the Red's world" according
to their needs and not yours.

Reds Are Driven By The Need To Live Large And To Be In Charge

Red Motto: Get Out Of My Way Now!

In every respect with the Red it is "my way or the highway“. A Red Person when
they drive, have a habit of honking their horn and and making loud comments on
how other drive...

How to Spot a Red Personality...
In a crowd or group of any kind always look for
the one person who is sitting in the power center. They will almost always automatically
collect around themselves a constellation of associates who kinda orbit the Red in the
center of the group. If You are at an event and happen to look on stage for the power
center it will be readily discernable. There will be an almost invisible "pecking order"
established.

If You join a group for a "power lunch" type meeting; just look to see who seems
to have commandeered the most room at the table with their elbows or how they
have laid their belongings out on the table as if to say this is my territory.
Red
men and women always dress for Success. They wear designer clothes and they
will always accessorize with things like Rolex watches or very expensive handbags
and gloves. Everything must have a recognizable designer label on it. Reds will
most often wear solid colors which denote more power than designs or checks or
plaids. Designer clothes from head to toes.....that's a Red.
This is their badge of
identity that gets them the recognition they crave. Social status is all important
for these people. Their house will be bigger. Their neighborhood will be better.
Their automobiles will be faster and more expensive than yours.

Strengths:

1. Reds are awesome people....they are the best negotiators. They have boundless
energy and are human dynamos when it comes to work and building something of
substance and value. Reds have built some of the largest and most successful
companies on the planet. Donald Trump is a Red, he wakes up every morning at
4:00 A.M. .....need I say more.

2. Reds have undaunted self-confidence, are natural born risk-takers who don't
require outside opinions to take action. They are independent and are people of
action who are always ready to do the next thing to have things work out.

3. Reds have a very clear sense of purpose and can very readily impart their vision
to others. At the head of every organization there is usually a Red who is there
with their vision pointing and leading the way for everybody else to follow.

Weaknesses:

1. Reds in a one word description are EgoManiacs. They are domineering which
is a lot more than just being a dominant factor. Because they are so driven and
so self-confident they are usually totally uncoachable by others.
A Red Mentor
can often manage to offend and alienate everyone in the group and end up
disbanding the group and the calls because no one would just "bow down" and
accept his edicts about how things should be run. Not open to any suggestions
about anything that had to do with the company. Every meeting becames a
"contest" and may cause people in the group immediately leave because there
is just too much egotism and testosterone to ever really get anything done.

2. Reds are prone to temper tantrums and blow ups from time to time. It seems
so often the only emotion they will allow themselves to experience is anger.
Which makes for poor leadership.

Sponsoring a Red personality... Money, money, and more money, power, control
and they are too the point. Red's hate indecision, chit-chat and the feeling of
losing control.

Recognizing one key fact, and that being that the Red has a monumental ego.
The easiest way to sponsor them into Your business is to let them think that
You need them. Always focus on the money. Talk about the money by mentioning
amounts. Mention that You are in touch with the top earners and that You have
access to them.
Show them Your team, any awards or citations You might have
received and let them see Your system and how it works. Stroke their ego as much
as You can. Sell them close them....as this is something Reds love and they expect
it (afterall that is exactly what they would do).

Be sure and include powerful testimonials about the income and bonuses of the
company leaders which You can put them in touch with. Once You state your case
and have made Your point, just step back and kinda sigh and say ......"well there
it is and quite frankly I don't know if You can do it or not."
About this time the
Red ego will kick in and take over. From here on out they will just go for it on
their own.

KEYWORDS FOR REDS - Money, money, and more money, power, control and
they are too the point. Red's hate indecision, chit-chat and the feeling of losing
control.

In Closing...

Practice Finding Out Two Things About A Person When You First Meet Them.
The first thing to determine is whether the person is being direct or indirect with
You. When You ask a question, does the person answer the question directly or
do they kinda "go around it" or kinda "beat around the bush" as it were and answer
it indirectly?
Does the person clearly answer the question or does it seem like they
like to qualify or evade the question or the answer? If the person is indirect, choose
the left column of the table below, if they are direct, choose the right column.

The 2nd determination is whether or not the person is open or self-contained.
Okay so exactly what are We looking for here? Alright when You ask a question,
does the person give You back only what You asked for as an answer or in some
instances not even answer the question at all? If You find that happening You
will instantly know You are dealing with a "closed and self-contained" personality.

If on the other hand, You find that when they answer Your question they not only
give the answer but actually start to "fill in the blanks" with additional information.....
then You readily know that You are dealing with an "emotionally available and open"
personality.

If the person is open, choose the first row of the table below, if they are self-contained;
then choose the second row of the table below. Just these two determinations can get
You started figuring out what "color" the person is in terms of their personality. With
practice You can almost tell what personality type You are dealing with just by the
way You hear them saying "hello" when they answer the phone.

Example...

Hello!... Scott speaking... A bright sunny "hello" delivered with energy could be a
Blue
,
Hello... OBrien Residence... A softer but friendly "hello" could be a Yellow,
Uh... Hello...
A brusque "hello" in a medium voice, the kind that asks the silently
suspicious question....."why are you calling me?" could be a Green.

Hello... Who Are You and What do you Want?... A curt "hello" in a louder voice
that (silently) prods You to get to the point could be a Red.

SO YOU MADE TO THE END.... BASED ON WHAT YOU LEARNED...

WHAT COLOR BEST DESCRIBES YOU?

WHAT COLOR WOULD YOU PICK FOR OTHER MY VM TEAM MEMBERS?

Below is a script on how to start a phone conversation and build a relationship and trust and after that
are some Questions You can Ask to Help determine someone's Color Personality...

You Certainly will not be asking all these questions, but picking 3 or 4 can help you determine the color
persoanlity. I have highlighted the 4 questions I typically ask personally.

Hello Name?

Hi... This is Scott OBrien. I am giving you a courtesy call concerning ___________________. I'm not
here to sell you anything on this call... I'm calling because I see you landed on my website today and
noticed you had an interest in starting a home based business... so I thought I'd give you a quick call
and see what you found most interesting on my website and if there is anything I can do to help you get
started with a home business OK?

Is this a good time to talk for a few minutes?

Great!....

Good Ice Breakers Questions are:
  • Where are you from?
  • How's the Weather there?
  • Try to think of a recent news story or sporting event you heard on the news from their city.

Then start with the color persoanality questions... be sure to listen to the answers. Remember, you are
listening for Open, Self Contained, Direct, and Indirect

What kind of work do you do? (think of jobs each color might do... examples: A Nurse may be a
Yellow, An Entertainer may be a Blue, An Engineer may be a Green and The Manager at Starbucks
may be a Red)
• How many hours a week do you work?
• How well do you like your job? (a yellow may say they wish they could be home with there kids, a
blue might be looking for something more fun, a green is annoyed cause things aren't right, and a red
loves his job, but the only reason the company is having success is because of him)
• What do you HATE about your job?
• What are you really good at?
• What do you do with your free time?
• What is the most fun thing you do in a normal day?
• What would be your ideal way to make a living?
• If you had all the TIME in the world to do anything you wanted, what would you do? (a yellow
might want to take the family on vacation, a blue would have a party every night, a green may want to
organize the garage and a red may want to go buy something expensive and show it off.
• Is there any particular kind of opportunity that appeals to you most?
• When you are working, do you feel a need to be around people, or would you just as soon be by
yourself?
• If you had 2 months vacation and all the money you wanted, what would you do?
• How do you like the people you work with?
• Can you see yourself being successful in a home business and make a nice Income? (a
yellow would say maybe, a blue instanly see's it and wants to join, a green needs more facts and a
red will ask how much will I make?)
• What problem scares you to death that more money could solve?
• If you had all the money you needed, what HUGE problem would go away?
• When you find an opportunity that really meets your criteria, how many hours a week could you
put into it?
• Other than money, what are you looking for?
• What does your family mean to you?
• What do you want for your own personal growth?
• What you want to accomplish in your lifetime?
• Is there anything that could prevent you from following through on starting your own business?
• What would it mean to you to help others change their lives?
• What really excites you in life?
• What REALLY makes you angry about your life?
• What would you like to give the people you love most?
• What really, really gets you emotional?
• OK. In what we’ve talked about so far, have we touched on the biggest reasons driving you to be
successful in life?

At this point... you should have an idea what color personality the person you just called is... then you
can form questions based on what you think

A Yellow may be interested if you talk about your team and how they can be involved

A Blue may be interested if you tell them how much fun you are having and all the things you do everyday

A Green may be interested if you give them lots of places to get more facts and information. It may be
best to tell them you'll call back tomorrow so that can go through everything with a fine tooth comb.

A Red will be interested if you tell them you're looking for a leader and the income potential is amazing!

Every Conversation is different, but this should give you a general idea how to determined color
personalities and how to implement them into your conversation to help you connect and build a
relationship with everyone!
