Make your Blog Popular - How to Increase your Blog Traffic

Most people write blogs for the fun of it, but many people also enjoy the feedback and popularity a
successful blog can bring. Some people also use Blogs to help generate traffic to their Business.

Here are some simple tips for a popular blog and more traffic:

1. Make your Blog easy to read. * Use Bullets, Bold Face, Italics.
2. Write good content... good content means subscribers!
3. Link... Link... Link... The Busiest Blogs are linked to many other sites. Even Inter-Linking within your
   
4. blog... Links to other posts works great! Leaving Comments on other blogs is a link back to your blog.
   
5. Linking works because most bloggers reciprocate by sending readers to your blog.
6. Optimize for Search Engines! Put the name of your blog (even if it’s just your own name) in the main
   
7. URL and the title tag of your site. On Technorati... you want to identify your blog in search topics, for
   
8. example: "politics" "business" "sports" ect.
9. Post... Post... Post... The most popular blogs are the ones with many posts... make time to post
   
10. everyday if you can, but don't post to post... make your posts meaningful.

In summary... most readers are looking for insight, perspective, and personal experience that relates to
the subject matter. Anyone can simply repeat what they have read or heard...that doesn't help much.
I would add the following advice for blog writers.

Focus on a subject area that you know well.

Provide insight, experience, and real life lessons learned.

Write interesting stuff that is balanced, thought provoking, controversial, and if possible, funny and surprising.
Become an expert in one area. Act as a filter or editor to find only the best stories that you and your readers
are interested in.

Summarize. Be concise and clear.

Participate in the conversation. Comment on other blogs and leave a link. Talk back in response to news
stories. Link to them.
