My VM Team Wiki

Hello Everyone!

Theory about Keywords, SEO (search engine optimization), and how we, My VM Team
members, can utilize this discovery to get a running start
between now and the middle of September (roughly the next 3 months) in using what
I refer to as the "Boat and Wake" Theory.

Let me first explain this theory:

While watching a power boat move across the water at any speed really, there is always
a "wake", the rise and trailing of the dispersed water that seems to "follow" the boat
onto its destination.

The faster the boat travels, the larger the wake seems to be, trailing a larger quantity of
"water" behind it.

Now, let's say that the "boat" is the chosen "keyword" you want to obtain a high ranking with.

You then "drive" that keyword up hard and fast by using it as the title of a submitted article
(submit the same article to at least 5 article submission sites, better if it is 10 or more
(EzineArticles.com should be one of your submission sites but keep in mind that they
do no allow the title of the article to also be your URL listed in the about me or author
bio section. You can title the article "Free Advertising" and have AFreeAdvertisingSite.com,
but not FreeAdvertising.com).

The main keyword is your boat, the next two are like the boat engines (My VM Team and
Your Name), then the last 2 chosen keywords are like the wake water. So, like a boat "pulls"
its "wake", your last 2 choices for your initial "set" of keywords will indeed "follow" your
other keywords pushing them forward as well. Every set of keywords you drive up at one
time, will naturally "glue" together and Google will see these as "related" because they come
up together so very often, meaning Google will see them as related. ;)

Choose your 5 keywords: Main Keyword: "Free Advertising". The 2 Sub Keywords: "My VM
Team" and "Your First and Last Name". Now, there are 2 left. Choose something like "Ask"
Your First and Last Name like Jim Cobb did or like Don Hill, he added "Digital" Don Hill to his
name if you find after doing a Google search on yourself that you may have stiff competition,
or choose a nickname like John High "The Freedom Guy" or myself with "Wavecritter" or Jim
Cobb with "The Google Man", or tag a new and unused as yet keyword to yourself and every
post, free ad, blog, article, etc. you make like John Raines did with Up Your Google and Michael
Jackson with Todays Online Marketing or Michael Curry with Learn Marketing Success.

If you are having a great deal of competition with your name, secure a good keyword like those
listed above being sure to put your first and last name sitting right next to it in the keyword list
for every post that it is relevant to.

Use this keyword as the subject line to a free advertisement online (also submitted to at least 5
free ad sites, preferably 10 or more with one being USFreeAds.com because they actually index
on Google for the subject line).

Place that article that you wrote for article submission on your blog site as a post with the same
title (this is also to prevent your "handing over" the copywrite as well, which you would do if you
did not first submit your article to your own site to "claim" it). Every Article you write for an article
submission site also goes on a blog as a post, but not every post is also to be submitted as an
Article :)

Grab a suitable URL as close to the title as possible (if your main keyword is "Free Advertising"
use the words FreeAdvertisingSomething, or FreeAdSomething as your URL, feel free to get the
dot info for 1 dollar at GoDaddy.com if that is what you can get, don't feel the need to grab a dot
com or dot net). This is actually an added step that is not 100% necessary, it will just quicken the
ride to the top.

Title a new blog site your "Free Advertising Something" URL. It is best to play around with Googles
Keyword Tool or other Keyword Tools ahead of time to first figure out which long tail keyword
(since the keyword is a phrase instead of just one lone word, they call it a long tail keyword) will
be best for you. Also, check ahead of time if the chosen keyword is available to purchase as a URL,
check to see if you are able to title your blog URL that too. For instance, I have GoogleMeFast.com,
GoogleMeFast.blogspot.com, I have an article called Google Me Fast, and I placed a free ad with the
subject line Google Me Fast. And, consequently when you Google "Google Me Fast" my blog site
comes up first. This example is a bit on the "weak" side as well because I have not actively worked
this as much as I would have if I wanted to cement this search term :)

Now, here is one I have cemented: Generic MLM. Do a quick Google Search on that term and it is
self explanatory. :)

Now, everything that you do, may or may not rank on the first page (you really need to Google
your chosen keywords to see what your competition is before you secure them for yourself),
but by doing multiple things, you have a great chance (it always has happened for me, but I am
not going to guarantee, just letting you in on what combo I found that actually works everytime
I do it, I am not promising this will also work everytime or anytime for you).

I have completed Google Services Part 3 The Video, but on the end I had put a My VM Team
Surprise.

So, I thought placing it here was a good idea :) Enjoy
